I can't continue playing the community edition of Soldier of Fortune

I had to create my account just to post this problem for you to help me out so I don't have to reinstall the game and backing up my save files

I've been receiving the message that is about this:

LoadLibrary("defsnd.dll") failed

Here's what I tried: I checked the game's directory and verified to say the defsnd.dll is still here, expect I don't understand why this happens, I used to have the GOG version of the game, it ends up with the same message until I forced to download the community edition -- then ended up with the exact same thing again and I also disabled my Windows antivirus just to make sure it must not broke the game -- so, I've had to paste the game's EXE file and renamed it to mohaa.exe, still nothing happens, I had to use the compatibility mode, still nothing changes to work it out. I had to try it again pasting the game's EXE, but not renaming it, and nope, nothing works since it never even received an error message, only the "SoF.exe".

My specifications are; Windows 10, RTX 3050, Intel Core i7 12th gen, and 16GB RAM

So, in any case if someone know the better idea, I would appreciate it a lot if you can help me to get this error away

Copy and paste your default SoF location into another location on the same drive or a different one.
Should weirdly work or make a difference if you continue the same methods you've attempted.
Dgvoodoo2.exe has weirdly worked for me in the past but whether it still does is another story.

I will say, once it does work... it just continues to work; it's not a continuous error.

So, you mean the folder of the entire game has to be moved to another location on same drive or different drive, right? I did that right now, but didn't work and had to move it back on the D drive

I even tried dgvoodoo2 as well, still getting the defsnd error message
