Ofcourse he did, on my initiative. It's the response to all these people making topics about "wrong resolutions" within the community edition 4.0.

It works like this: the executive autoexec-command gl mode 0 , will always be copying the current desktop resolution.
In other words: The SoF Setup will now adapts automatically to your windows resolution... every resolution available = always fullscreen sof.

Community Edition 5.0 will be released soon.

How on earth did we get from v1.07F to 5.0 without a major build update? Even starting at v4.0 a maintenance tweak would only make it v4.01

it feel to be like in a free2play game where the developer update his content constantly every month

- v1.0 community edition : Was just regular sof with just sofplus tweaks, bigger mappack, run on, password player etc (sofxtreme.eu links)
- v2.0 community edition : Fixed the videocard drivers issue, now known as the gl_driver fix (sofxtreme.eu links)
- V3.0 community edition : Was made as a response to Minato's sof-setup: added MyGameserver, sof-tools, custom autoexecs, and a very huge total mappack. (sof1.net links)
- V4.0 community edition :Reduced the mappack size, for a smaller setup file, wide-screen supports, uninstall-form made, added a ingame-welcome spam message. (sof1.org links)

(not yet released)
- V5.0 community edition :This version will automatic pick your desktop screen resolution for a fullscreen sof. Fixed a issue about the game not working on all computers --> the config.cfg will now be remade by SoF itself when you start the game for the first time. With this the game has improved configurations which will fits to your hardware. (sofdownload.com links)

So... I think the naming progress of V1.0 to V5.0 is right imo. All versions received a major upgrade.

Doesn't fit the usual progression but then there is no standardised way of naming software versions really, just a widely accepted protocol.

I count more players making patches, fixes and updates than actual players in the game :troll:

Singleplayer he ? Trust me if I knew how to remove the singleplayer aspect of Soldier of Fortune from the community edition... I would have done it.

But thanks for reminding me of this "singleplayer-still-working-bug", I hope it will reduce the filesize alot when I crack out the singleplayer.

SoFplus 1.4t16 has an experimental singleplayer fps limiter. Does that work for you?

That's just stupid. Lots of people play and enjoy single player. It would be better to remove the huge map pak, which I don't need or care about. Let the instaler download maps on demand.
