Description: This menu who look similar to a windows command prompt will list your files and directories that are in your user folder. It is primary a file search without minimizing the game, but one can
use to execute it if the game has a matching command that rely on its file extension.
Setup: Unzip and put this to SOF PLATINUM/base
Usage:
- In the console, simply execute the command mdir
- Or make a bind
- E.g. bind ins mdir

This works like an alias, thus the command for usage is "mdir" (without quotes).
It is intended to be used with a bind key as quick way to display the file list.
E.g. bind ins mdir
The files list can be buggy since it is recycled from the built-in Keyword
'filebox'. Usage of the command line is recommended to change directories.
E.g. /maps/dm
You can define wildcards for a more specific search.
- [Root] [Base] [Extension]
E.g. /maps/dm dt_???
E.g. /maps/dm coop*
E.g. /menus * cfg
With the mouse click, it is possible to:
- Execute a .cfg file
- Load a .func file
- Play a .wav sound
- View a .m32 image
- Load a .sof save game
- Watch a .dm2 demo recorded file
- Load a .eft effect file (only if cvar fx_edit is '1')
- Load a .trn environment terrain
- Load .dms for background music
- Open .rmf menu page (without frame name specified)
- Load .bsp to change map
A bug may appear for the last file on a list which prevent you from selecting
it with the mouse button. The command swith '/c' has been added to the
command line at the [Base] [Extension] part. The extension is required.
E.g. /sofplus/data /c mysavedconfig.cfg
The [option] menu at the top bar let you select:
- The size font
- Sort files to 'name' 'time' 'size'
These option will be saved for when you start the game only if you close the
file box by the 'Close' select in [option], or by clicking the close button.
The [user] at the top bar is a shortcut to go to the root directory.
